Verity is seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps engineer to support our development and deployment processes as we progress toward extending the cloud functionalities of our industrial drone system and toward its large-scale commercialization.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the software engineers to select the most appropriate cloud technologies based on the requirements of the project
- Build automated deployment through the use of configuration management tools
- Monitor the status of the system and conduct periodic tests to assess security, performance and availability
- Develop CI/CD pipelines to ensure software quality and simplify the release process
- Ensure that the cloud solutions meet high security standards and that data protection technologies are effectively configured and tested
- Develop update and migration strategies to support software updates, server migration, and technology changes
- Configure, provision and maintain the cloud infrastructure
- Be responsible for budgeting and monitoring the costs of the cloud infrastructure and budget
- Based on your interests - contributing to the software development of backend solution
- Participate to daily activities of the software department such as code and design reviews, project planning, periodic meetings, etc.
Qualifications
- MSc degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field
- At least 3 years of cloud DevOps professional experience
- Excellent understanding of processes and methods that meet high quality standards (Continuous Integration, Test Automation, ...)
- Excellent knowledge of AWS technologies. Knowledge of technologies from other providers is a strong plus
- Experience deploying and administering development CI/CD tools
- Great mastery of infrastructure as code frameworks like Terraform and container/orchestration frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes
- Proven experience in configuring and administering SQL and NoSQL databases
- In-depth knowledge of topics related to security, data protection, availability, monitoring, and networking
- Good knowledge of Python and other programming languages is a strong plus
- High level of initiative, organizational skills and exceptional sense of responsibility
- Team player with high problem-solving & troubleshooting competence, capable of working autonomously
- Effective communication skills and eagerness to share knowledge with colleagues
- Desire to drive one’s career by learning new tasks and taking on new responsibilities
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
