Then, it's time that you join us as a Production IT Engineer* in our Business Unit Pharmaceutical Systems. You will be located in St. Gallen, starting asap. The organization Production IT belongs to our Technology division and is the global interface between local operations and harmonized IT systems. The Production IT provides governance for worldwide standardization and fulfillment of regulatory requirements of IT and automation systems in the areas of production, quality and plant maintenance. In your role, you closely collaborate with colleagues from all over the world within our business unit (spending approximately 20% of your time on travel) as well as Corporate Technical Services and Central IT.
You are responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of Production IT and automation software and hardware at our production lines, continuous improvement including infrastructure as well as support of validation and local installations.
You, as global contact person for the assigned systems, are responsible for the communication to all relevant stakeholders and the respective change management.
You provide and/or review user requirements, functional and technical specifications as well as additional documentation. Furthermore, you consult the process and organizational design as well as scout technologies and test prototypes. Moreover, you set-up and monitor adherence to service level agreements with suppliers.
You initiate, lead, execute and/or participate in pilot projects for digitalization and global rollouts.
You develop and update a coherent global data model across all Production IT systems. An important part is the (re-)design of data exchange between systems with special focus on data integrity.
University Degree in engineering or similar with a focus on automation and IT
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in automation, manufacturing or machine maintenance with a high degree of IT, preferably in a regulated environment
Leadership experience with globally distributed teams
Decent knowledge of PLC, SCADA, MES, CAQ, inspection systems and data integrity
Deep understanding of automation in Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance and Quality Management
Strong capabilities of analysis, team spirit and proactive drive of topics, as well as good communication skills and structured working methods
Fluent command of English, preferably German in addition
