Client:

A mid-sized (less than 50 FTE), successful and innovative company of value added information systems and services. The company has offices both in Swiss Romande and Swiss Germany. The team is tight-knit and united in its efforts to grow the business.

 

Country Manager/General Manager

Position:
Responsible for further developing the business into new sectors and increasing penetration into the Swiss German market, the future General Manager can be based in either the Zurich office or the Swiss Romande with frequent travel to the other office. With full P&L responsibility and reporting to the Board, you will be responsible for leading the existing team based in 3 offices, developing your team and driving performance. Creative and results driven you will find new and successful ways to achieve ambitious targets to significantly increase the turn-over and EBIT. With a sharp eye on finances, your proven business acumen will help expand the current customer portfolio, and identify new target customers and segments. As General Manager you will have ultimate responsibility for managing and developing the business.


Profile:
  • Fluent German/Swiss German and French + English
  • At least one successful experience in taking over and successfully growing a business as General Manager and/or working in relation with Private Equity
  • 10+ years experience in sales and marketing with increasing levels of responsibility
  • ideally coming from the IS/IT sector specifically selling high-end information system solutions or consulting within the IS arena
  • Proven experience in tangibly growing and developing a business
  • Sound financial and business acumen
  • Excellent leadership skills and ablility to manage both up and down
  • In-depth knowledge of the Swiss market, with a personal network in the Swiss German market
  • Open to a remuneration package based on fix, bonus and stock options.
  • Ambitious, charismatic, driven with outstanding communication and negotiation skills
