Sales and Application Engineer
The role is based in Winterthur (Zürich area), Switzerland.
As application engineer for static mixers you contribute actively to the growth of Sulzer's static mixer business in the water sector. In cooperation with our front sales organization, you develop static mixing solutions for our customers. You incorporate your solutions into commercial proposals that are discussed and negotiated with our clients on site, where you are supported by our front sales organization in the related country.
Your responsibilities include
Designing static mixing solutions
Preparation of tenders (technical and commercial)
Contract negotiation with international clients
Coordinating activities in the order winning phase (engineering, legal, cost estimation)
Acquisition of new clients
Training of front sales engineers and agents
Participation in fares and symposia
Publication of technical articles
Collecting and sharing market intelligence
Successful track-record in a similar position in sales and/or application management
Strong experience in the water sector: water treatment, desalination, SWRO processes
Bachelor's or master's Degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
Work experience with pressure vessel codes (ASME, PED)
Willingness to travel 10 to 20%
Good communication skills combined with a team player attitude and high job dedication are expected. A good command of English, spoken and written, is essential. Fluency in German and French is an advantage.
