Application Consultant

As Application Consultant, you provide regular trainings of the Agility forwarding system to all operational employees in Switzerland. You make sure that all employees follow the rules given by Quality Management with regards to Data Integrity. You serve as the interface of operations to other areas in our organization.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Regular trainings of new and existing employees
  • Make sure all information about changes or updates of the Transport Management System (TMS) are transferred to, understood and followed by the users
  • Support the development and maintenance of an E-Learning course for the TMS Training
  • Support the development and maintenance of a general TMS manual
  • Participate on regular meetings of all TMS Trainers in order to exchange the knowledge and experience
  • Submit a periodical report about executed trainings and other activities to Quality Management
  • Ensure that training content is aligned with current processes and quality requirements (e.g. DataIntegrity Rules)
  • Creating reports based on operational indicators from TMS (e.g. queries, data quality checks etc.) - handover regular reporting creation to respective departments
  • Participate in user acceptance tests

Required skills

  • Proven in-depth understanding of the following Operations:
       Export / Import processes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Freight Forwarding industry
  • Ability to drive “change” in the organization by
       Taking action (instead of taking notes)
       Generate activity (instead of tracking activity)
       Anticipating (instead of reacting)
       Influencing others by maximizing and leveraging interpersonal skills
  • Ability to design and structure a group learning event
  • Ability to create and write instructional objectives
  • Ability to accommodate different learning styles to promote learning
  • Quality and Process driven mindset
  • Experience in direct interaction with suppliers & customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel within Switzerland (Geneva, Lausanne, Martigny, Kloten, Novazzano)
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Additional French or Italian would be an asset
