Commercial IT & Digital Manager

You are responsible to maximize the value of Business Technology Solutions, as well as for the oversight for the delivery of all IT services into the Swiss Affiliate aligned with regional/global IT strategies. In this position you are playing an imperative role in the planning and direction of technology implementation alongside the Commercial teams, Affiliate leadership, and all other functions. You are the recognized go-to person for technology leadership within the Affiliate.


Your main focus will be:  

  • Taking a leading role in both internal and external business technology projects from planning to execution. Shape business strategy in areas where technology and innovation can play a significant role
  • Delivering projects based on knowledge of business strategy – play a full and integrated role in the strategic and, where possible, the tactical planning process within the business
  • Understanding business through creating a strong partnership with the affiliate leadership team, brand teams, and all business functions to provide innovative and value-added IT services and build new capabilities
  • Selling the value and benefits of Commercial IT capabilities across all areas of competency (i.e. digital, analytics, Infield solutions including CRM / CLM / BA, mobile, infrastructure, , business applications and emerging technologies)
  • Building and efficiently sustaining IT digital capabilities to enable affiliate Multi Channel Engagement Strategy
  • Providing the affiliate high-quality advice on the use of technology. Ensure that global and regional IT Operations and Services are delivered to a high-standard and in line with affiliate requirements
  • Managing overall IT budget and long-term strategy

In this role you are directly reporting to the Europe South Regional IT Director, and dotted line reporting to affiliate General Manager.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of significant IT Consultancy or IT Professional experience.
  • An ability to work effectively and highly interactively with all levels of management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including fluent command of German (mother tongue level strongly preferred) and English (additional European Languages are a big plus)
  • An ability to work effectively and highly interactively with all levels of management
  • Strong strategic thinking, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in analyzing, designing and improving business processes
  • Experience of Software Life Cycle and managing end-to-end delivery of high impact, large scale programs/projects
  • Management of all IT external service providers and vendors
  • Knowledge and experience of the technology and digital landscape to enable affiliate MCM strategy by building required digital channels including mobile, web, portals, SEO, SEM, analytics, and social media
  • Experience in building digital strategies (both communications and platforms) and running digital marketing projects
