Tasks and responsibilities
As a Simulink Application Engineer at Speedgoat, you enjoy to work on and explain Model-based development concepts for controls, DSP, and vision applications leveraging state-of-the-art CPUs, FPGAs, and I/O and protocols interfaces.
In fact, this position is all about developing helpful application and industry specific examples, tutorials, and whitepapers, enabling electrical and systems engineers world wide to develop their next generation products for the benefit of current and future generations.
Use your creativity to convey complex concepts, and coordinate the design and build of content with a cross-functional team in Development, Application Suport, and Marketing.
Key tasks include:
Create engaging Simulink-based examples, video tutorials, and hardware demos about real-time controls, DSP, and vision prototyping, and Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation
Coordinate a multi-functional team to create engaging software examples using MathWorks products including Simulink, Simulink Real-Time, and HDL Coder
Coordinate the design of hardware demonstrators from concept to commissioning
Bachelor or Masters degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or similar
Strong expertise in using MATLAB and Simulink
Written and oral fluency in English, including experience in writing technical content
Experience (3-5 years) in controls, DSP, or vision protototyping and/or Hardware-in-the-Loop simulation
Knowledge of embedded systems development and industrial protocols
Ability to learn and explain technology quickly
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
