As Analytical Project Leader you will be working in the analytical group of “Small Molecules Technical Development” within the department “Global Technical Development”.

“Small Molecules Technical Development” (PTDC) brings a broad range of experience across drug substance (DS), drug product (DP), analytical sciences and manufacturing S&T, and collaborates closely with key partners in the departments Research and Early Development (pRED / gRED), Small Molecules (PTC) and Global Technical Development (PTD). PTDC is responsible for late stage technical development of our small molecules pipeline, manufacture of DS and DP for clinical studies and Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) across our small molecules manufacturing network.
As Analytical Project Leader you will be responsible for all analytical aspects in late stage projects (phase III to launch). The task requires strong management skills for interaction with the internal analytical development groups/technical project teams and external partners such as CMOs/CLOs. The day-to-day activities of the Analytical Project Leader include mainly development of a thorough control strategy and thereby development/application of suitable and robust analytical methods, organization of method validations and –transfers in good collaboration with assigned lab personnel. In addition you will be handling analytical documentation, evaluation and reporting of stability data, and authoring of technical regulatory documents.
This is a temporary position for 2 years, located in Basel, Switzerland.

You have a PhD degree, preferably in chemistry, food chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or related field. You bring minimum 5 years professional experience within analytical development for drug substance and/or drug product in the pharmaceutical industry.
