The Master Data Senior Specialist is part of EMEA Planning Execution and interacts with all different stakeholders, as Customer Service, Planning, Global ISO, Quality, Sites to ensure end-to-end supply chain data availability.
In this role the Manager is responsible for:
Leading / coaching Master data team (approx. 2-4 people)
Continues business improvement in various supply chain projects interacting with all SCM areas and leverages the data needs to run the SCM organization.
Performing various checks, analysis and interact with all streams throughout the whole process to ensure data quality and in- time availability of compliant master data
Interpret requests and determine appropriate course of action or obtain additional clarification, if necessary.
Right First Time Code creation/ change/ extension including all pre-checks - evaluation of correct parameters and data sets to raise a compliant and error free Master Data Change request and set-up of related data such as BOM, Source lists, T-lanes, etc., in SAP ECC and SAP APO
Maintain accurate, up-to-date master data for assigned business process, ensure timely updates & eliminate duplicate/dormant records
Monitor data, analyze reports and track specific activity to ensure records are synchronized, accurate & complete. Act to resolve data quality issues and discrepancies
Monitor the status of Master Data change requests & ensure timely approval & execution
Use the global data standards to enter data into the system and when necessary apply country-specific and plant-specific data standards
Responsible for data integration and linking data when necessary
Accountable for SCM data qualification, analysis, maintenance, accuracy and change control as well as driving improvements to increase efficiency and data quality
Address all client inquiries, including, but not limited to own process
Interprets data requests and determine appropriate course of action or obtain additional clarification, if necessary.
Master Data Senior Specialist

As part of the role, the Senior Specialist will have involvement and an intimate understanding of daily E2E data activities, supporting a part of the total portfolio that falls within their team (full detail can be found in the Specialist, MDM job description).
Responsible for the Global Data Governance
Master Data maintenance and code creation
Maintenance of Master data, Support data activities in ECC and APO
Accurate creation of new codes to support business and various projects
Knowledge of financial flows, Patterns, Contact with InterCompany for new flows
Understanding of master data parameter in ECC and APO to improve business (planning/ inventory/ forecasting/ IQV)
Oversees the material master data Change Control process which includes pre-approval and post-approval activities in a timely manner
Monitors data, analyzes reports and tracks specific activity to ensure records are synchronized. Acts to resolve all issues and discrepancies. Oversees and analyses the supply chain information to ensure data accuracy and clean up.
Reviews and analyzes reports of master data to ensure timely receipt of updates. Responsible for data integration and linking data when necessary.
Lead in escalation and urgency situation to solve efficient and timely Develop and Improve KPI for Master Data area
Continuous Improvement/ Project Lead: Broaden understanding of Supply Chain Management and continuous improvement of the information area with checks, analysis to ensure high data quality
Professional education and skills
Bachelor of Science - preferably Supply Chain or related discipline
Minimum 3 year experience, preferably in pharmaceutical environment
Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Data
Demonstrated experience and competence with Supply Chain processes
Highly organized profile, proactive and problem solving mindset
Strong English communication skills written and verbally
Awareness of business and industry dynamics and regulation
Capable of working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
Strong SAP and MS Office experience
Experience in Supply Chain Environment as Information/ Master data, Supply Network Planning, Distribution or Manufacturing processes is mandatory
APICS CPIM or CSCMP certification is an advantage
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to communicate, collaborate and influence and lead a team of around 4-8 people
Ability to think End-to-End when analyzing problems and resolving project conflicts
Willingness to be flexible and to work in a rapidly changing environment
Independent and take ownership
