In September 2015 our product, Raxone®, received European Marketing Authorization in the treatment of patients with LHON (Leber's Hereditary Optic Neuropathy). Raxone® is also investigated for the treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS). In addition, Santhera’s pipeline includes omigapil, an investigational drug with anti-apoptotic properties, a compound in development to address unmet medical needs for patients with Congenital Muscular Dystrophy (CMD). In February 2018, Santhera obtained the worldwide, exclusive rights to develop and commercialize POL6014, an innovative macrocycle elastase inhibitor with the potential to treat Cystic Fibrosis and other Pulmonary Diseases.
The role reports to the Head of Distribution in the Supply Chain Management & Distribution function. The job holder is accountable for the operational activities involved in the timely, correct and compliant distribution of Santhera’s marketed product in Europe, the United States and other countries globally. Customer service and order fulfilment for customers in Europe are outsourced to a logistic service provider. Orders from the business partners in US and ROW are handled in-house.
Successful performance of this role is mainly determined by the clear understanding of the external and internal customer needs and business partner situations. Highly competent and appropriate communication and good collaboration across functions and organizational levels both in the internal matrix organization and with third party vendors are essential in this role.
The responsibilities for this role include the following:
Operational guidance, support and surveillance of the outsourced Customer Service and order fulfilment. This includes, but is not limited to order approval, returns control, facilitation of deviations and complaints handling, proposal, specification and implementation of continuous improvement projects, daily tracking of delivery reports, regular review calls and on-site meetings with the Customer Service team;
Customer service and fulfilment of orders from Santhera business partners in US and ROW;
Collection of rolling demand forecasts and forecast accuracy tracking;
Month-end reconciliation of finished product stocks at various stock locations;
Determination of finished product stock replenishment requirements;
Execution of finished product stock transfer orders;
Contribution to the continued development of the SCM&D processes and the related Quality Management System, including the establishment or update of SOPs.
Required background and experience:
Academic or equivalent education;
Mandatory 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical distribution and supply chain management roles;
Experience in customer service role or in collaboration with customer service functions;
Experience based understanding of the role of a headquarters Supply Chain Management & Distribution function and its multiple interactions and interdependencies with other functions both inside the organization and at vendors;
Basic understanding of GDP and GMP;
Proven achievement of successful business outcomes in a matrix organization and in situations where critical contributions are provided by third party vendors;
Fluency in German and English, both written and oral, additional EU languages constitute a plus
