Administrative Assistant (80-100%)

The successful candidate will contribute to a seamless execution of the financial and administrative processes and tasks of the Institute in an accurate, timely, efficient and professional manner. With minimal supervision, s/he will perform various financial and administrative functions, some of which are in direct support of the professors. Examples include overseeing finances and deadlines for third-party funded research projects and financial reporting; maintaining internal ordering system; processing invoices; assisting with travel cost reimbursements; handling correspondence and daily mail; scheduling events and appointments; and serving as point-of-contact for employees, students and visitors. In addition, s/he will help to manage different personnel administration tasks. The successful candidate will be productive and comfortable in an international research environment, where unexpected events and demands require clear thinking and reshuffling of priorities.

We are looking for a motivated person with some experience in Assistant/Secretary position who is energetic, well organized, proactive, and very comfortable with today's electronic office and communication tools. A flair for figures and finances is a must and a record of business fluency in English and German is also required. Excellent team player skills and the ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds and with a variety of stakeholders will be a strong selection criterion.
