Application Specialist, Biosciences (M/F)

As the Application expert in our Swiss Biosciences Sales team, you will provide high-quality and value-added services to our customers working in both clinical diagnostic and scientific research fields, including assisting purchasing decisions by delivering convincing product-focused presentations to potential customers. You will work on our Biosciences portfolio linked to Flow Cytometry (instrumentations and reagents) and will support our customers all-across Switzerland. This is a home-based position.
As Application Specialist - Biosciences reporting directly to the Sales Manager Biosciences for Switzerland, your key responsibility will be to deliver and document on-site training, demonstrations and product application support to customers making use of our Biosciences instrumentation, reagents and systems. You will also support our Sales representatives to enable effective customer interaction, actively supporting the introduction of new products as well as the development of concepts. Additionally, you will play a central role in developing training materials and processes to maintain and improve efficiency and customer satisfaction, working in close collaboration with responsible Biosciences product specialists in defining and implementing customer projects. Other key responsibilities include: * Active participation in trade exhibitions, workshops and tutorials in support of our Biosciences products, including delivery of product focused presentations * Delivery of regular updates and/or reports on new customer applications, and on competitor activities
You will travel all over Switzerland for this home-based position.
To deliver our services efficiently, we are looking for a degree-educated professional, ideally in biology, a related life sciences field or a laboratory technician with extensive professional experience with at least 3 years of practical experience in flow cytometry in a cell biological and/or clinical environment. Beyond your strong technical background, you ideally bring experience in customer consulting, training and sales in the field of medical technology/diagnostics. Additionally, you have a proven track record in the conception, implementation and completion of projects in the field of technical-scientific training and/or customer consulting.
You have a strong willingness to learn and excellent interpersonal skills for customer-facing situations. You demonstrate a strong ability to understand and present both simple and complicated facts in a precise and clear manner, and when required argue them in a coherent, comprehensible way. You also take responsibility for solving challenging tasks and problems and are highly flexible, self-motivated and resilient. Furthermore, you consider potential economic impact of your actions on customers and their organizations.
