Customer Engagement Specialist, Hospital Acute Care, Virology (HCV/HIV) - Region Bern/ Basel/ Luzern
MSD Switzerland is recruiting for a pro-active sales representative to build and develop a strong customer relationship to office and hospital based specialists in the field of Virology for the region Bern/ Basel/ Luzern.
The Hospital Care Customer Engagement Specialist is a key member of the Hospital Customer Team and plays a critical role in supporting MSD's customer centric business model. In this field-based role, you will visit and engage with assigned customers within your territory with the objective to competently position MSD products according to the overarching strategy. Furthermore, you will be responsible for understanding and identifying customer needs, developing market and competitor insights, autonomously planning activities to support the customer strategy, and for ensuring that MSD is perceived as a partner of choice in demonstrating value and better health outcomes to healthcare professionals and their patients.
Primary activities include but are not limited to:
Responsible to implement and execute tactics in order to achieve/outperform sales targets in your territory
Autonomous analysis of customer, account, market & competitor dynamics to generate insights based decision making
Communication about products to assigned customer groups in a way that's meaningful and relevant to each individual customer; customizes discussions and client interactions based on understanding of customer's needs
Acquisition of new customers and development of existing customer relationship, as well as Scientific Leader management
Leverage digital and innovative tools and programs to optimize customer experience
Share learning and best-practices from one customer to help other customers meet their needs
Collaborate intensively with cross functional team, including, but not limited to marketing, medical, account managers to orchestrate execution and maximizing customer experience
Organize local educational events and participate in national and international symposia and congresses
Participate in team and company meetings
Autonomous appointment planning and business administration tasks, including proper reporting
Master's degree or equivalence through experience;
PhD-level education would be an asset 3 to 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferred) or relevant background; previous Sales experience is considered a plus
Good knowledge of the healthcare and hospital environment in Switzerland
Prior experience within infectious diseases (Hepatitis C and HIV) is advantageous
Valid driving license for Switzerland
Fluency in German and English (both verbal and written), additional French language skills are advantageous
Excellent capabilities in interpersonal interaction, influence and communication
Consistent performer in achieving measurable and tangible results
Highly self-motivated and proactive working style
Strong problem solving skills, ability to focus on important business drivers and to create business opportunities
Demonstrated ability to work independently, cross functionally and to quickly adapt to and deliver in challenging situations
Proven ability to leverage and navigate digital tools to maximize work efficiency
