Regulatory Manager - MRL Strategies
Leads the Global MRL team for the worldwide Crop Protection Regulatory function and works with Global Regulatory Managers to develop MRL and import tolerance strategies for Syngenta's products
Coordinates Syngenta's inputs into the United Nations Codex Alimentarius Commission for harmonized international MRLs
Develops MRL, food chain and NGO profiles of Syngenta products for use in Regulatory sustainability strategies to support longevity of products in the market place
Assists the Global Regulatory Policy Lead in developing, maintaining and communicating aligned Syngenta regulatory policy positions for use with the industry associations and external stakeholders
Leads the Global MRL team (composed of members from Regulatory from each region and Product Safety Dietary representatives) and ensures that regional needs for MRLs and import tolerances are appropriately captured and prioritized according to business needs
In collaboration with the Regulatory Portfolio team, ensures that staff and fees resources are in place to deliver tolerance projects.
Coordinates the prioritization process for Syngenta active ingredients into the United Nations Codex process and supports the Global Regulatory Policy Lead in advocating Syngenta's position with the Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues
Provides inputs to high quality regulatory stewardship documents in the areas of MRL, food chain and NGO profiles in order to support the development of Asset and Crop strategies (right hand shift)
Provides regulatory expertise to support discussions with the food chain (in collaboration with Corporate and Government Affairs)
Maintains an awareness of developments in regulatory science relating to crop protection food safety and tolerances
For designated areas of regulatory policy works with the Global Regulatory Policy lead and Regulatory staff in the regions, territories, and countries to provide foresight of emerging and developing regulatory policy
Supports the Global Regulatory Policy lead in developing aligned Syngenta regulatory positions to advocate with CropLife, and IGOs like OECD and Codex, and other external stakeholders as appropriate
