Scientist Islet Solutions
The Scientist Islet Solutions is responsible for the design, management and execution of pancreatic related products and their application for diabetes research and pre-clinical toxicology. Furthermore, he/she takes an active role in product and process patenting and acts as a key point of contact for the Sales team to introduce and negotiate new service projects and products. Starting date: as soon as possible. Place of work: Schlieren, Switzerland.
Design, management and execution of islet related services and product development projects
Preparation, presentation and publication of scientific data
Participate in lab work for new product, applications and service developments (approx. 30-40% lab-time)
Preparation of and application for patents
Support the Islet team with scientific know-how to define and implement product positioning and innovation strategies
Promote and present InSphero’s Islet portfolio at conferences and exhibitions
Support the expansion of InSphero’s Islet portfolio by providing scientific data required for launching new products, applications and services
Generation of new process related documents (e.g. Technical Operation Procedures, assay protocols) in alignment with InSphero’s Management System
Support the Sales team in introducing and negotiating new service projects and products
Support product specific information transfer to and exchange with Marketing, Sales and the Bio-production unit
Serve as deputy to the Group Leader Islet Solutions
PhD in Biology with deep knowledge in Islet Biology and Metabolism
Min. 2 years of experience in a postdoctoral research fellow position
Solid scientific track record (incl. publications)
Laboratory experience in cell culture techniques, ideally 3D microtissues
Microscopy skills (preferentially 3D); experience with CellProfiler
Strong communication and presentation skills, networker, team player
Occasional weekend work required for conferences or travel
Professional English is a must, additional languages are a plus
