At the Center for Law & Economics at ETH Zurich, the chairs for Law, Economics, and Business (Alexander Stremitzer), Intellectual Property (Stefan Bechtold) and Law, Economics and Data Science (Elliott Ash) are looking, as of May 1, 2018 or upon agreement, for an

Administrative Assistant (50-80%)

We are an international and interdisciplinary team of about 30 lawyers, economists and computer scientists working on issues of experimental law & economics, contracts, insolvency law, digitization, innovation, Internet regulation, data science and corporate governance.

You will be responsible for providing support with a high degree of self-organization to three professors and their staff in administrative and organizational matters. You will oversee: general correspondence; financial management; human resources; annual reporting and evaluations; organizing business trips; organization of exams and events; maintaining the websites of the Center with ETH Zurich's content management system; and visitor support. You will also act as an interface between the professors and the ETH Zurich administration. You will collaborate with another administrative assistant to provide support to Professors Bechtold, Stremitzer, and Ash at the Center for Law & Economics. This will likely give you some flexibility as to working hours by coordinating with your future colleague.

Your background: Several years of professional experience as administrative or executive assistant and/or a business management education. Good organizational skills, independent tasking ability, excellent English and German (spoken and written) are required. Proficiency in French would be a plus. You are a technically skilled and experienced user of Microsoft Office (in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint), at ease with website maintenance and eager to learn about new IT environments. You are willing to provide significant, independent support to the three chairs, able to manage complex tasks and happy to work in a team. You bring loyalty, integrity and reliability to the job and have the interpersonal skills required in an international environment. We offer an excellent working environment in a dynamic team and a competitive salary.

We look forward to receiving your online application including a letter of interest explaining the skills and interests you bring to the position and a CV . Please address your application to Mr Olivier Meyrat, Human Resources. We will conduct interviews in Zurich on February 5/6, 2018. We may also be able to conduct interviews via Skype if need arises. Please note that we exclusively accept applications submitted through our online application portal. Applications via email or postal services will not be considered.
