Senior Medical Manager Skincare

Senior Medical Manager (SMM) has full global medical affairs
and clinical development responsibility for a set of brands and/or
sub-therapeutic area (TA) / sub-category he/she was assigned to.
He/She is responsible for the development and the
implementation of Medical Strategy for the Bayer Consumer Care
(BCC) global Rx, OTC, Medical Device and Cosmetic portfolio of
the TA including potential responsibility for single parts of the TA or
brands.
Jointly with Medical Director SMM is a key function in supporting
business growth (including M&A/due diligences) and business
protection to build competitive advantage for BCC.
The role is the key medical/clinical resource for a TA for all classes
of products (OTC, Rx, Medical Device, Cosmetics), reporting
directly to Global Director Medical Strategy Personal Care and
should be ready to assume some of his/hers responsibilities when
delegated.
In TA scientific/medical/clinical matters, s/he can act as a
substitute to Medical Director (when delegated) for external parties
such as Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Professional Bodies and
Health Authorities.
Accountable for the overall quality and compliance for TA Medical
Scientific Writing.
Supports Global Medical Director for the planning and tracking of
the budget of the TA.
Proactively seeks the development and maintenance of
comprehensive understanding of the current and emerging science
for relevant therapeutic area, including respective treatment,
prevention and other self-care measures. Regularly provide
feedback to the superior on the matter.
Jointly with Medical Director and with Business Unit partner,
develops and implements a long-term medical/clinical strategy
which maximizes brand and portfolio business opportunities for
BCC (including, but not limited to new products, indications, claims,
messaging and registration). Defines the TA products' positioning
from the medical perspective and indications for use relative to
therapeutic alternatives.
SMM supports the development of the strategy for KOL
management in line with therapeutic area strategic objectives and
in compliance with legislation and company rules; On selected
brands, SMM can lead KOL development efforts on major (e.g.
New Product Development (NPD), new claim) initiatives, such as
Advisory Boards. products, existing and new.
Jointly with Medical Director SMM is responsible for acceleration,
streamlining and strengthening clinical (new or line extensions)
efforts so that the NPD projects can be approved more rapidly and
positioned more competitively in the international market place.
In alignment with superior develops presentations and medical
summary documents for submission to country and regional
regulatory authorities.
On selected brands can assume leadership for medical affairs
input to core labeling and pharmacovigilance documents for
marketed products (e.g. risk management plans and benefit
analysis for risk-benefit assessments).
Ensures timely medical review and approval of promotional
material.

Value added to the Company
Contributes directly to the generation and disclosure of scientific and clinical data on pipeline and marketed products to appropriate health care stakeholders. Leads the development and implementation of Medical Strategy for the BCC Personal care (Rx, OTC, Medical Device and Cosmetic portfolio)
