Winterthur Gas & Diesel Ltd. is looking for a


  • Design and implement control algorithms for engine control from requirements to production
  • Develop and define the requirements for robust and easy engine control
  • Communicate with engine experts of other disciplines
  • Perform model based development of engine control and diagnosis algorithms
  • Integrate complete software packages
  • Develop and perform tests for the engine automation and control systems on control test rigs including hardware-in-the-loop as well as on engines
  • Document all development steps and results

  • MSc or Dipl.-Ing. electrical/mechanical/automation engineering, or equivalent
  • 3+ years proven experience in developing complex automation and control systems
  • Proven experience in model-based development and simulation in Matlab/Simulink
  • Knowledge of communication systems and protocols
  • Knowledge in combustion engines, preferably on large 2-stroke engines
  • Comprehension of mechanical, hydraulic and thermodynamic systems
  • Good analytic approach
  • Ready to travel for testing purposes up to 6 weeks per year
  • Basics in project management
  • Team player

  • Fluent in English and German
