Varian Medical Systems is seeking a high-performing, knowledge-seeking DevOps Operations Engineer to help in the fight against Cancer.  This is an exciting position supporting some of our new and emerging initiatives. The right candidate will be motivated by both the technical and clinical challenges of working in a medical device company dedicated to providing timely clinical solutions for cancer patients. As a member of our global DevOps team, you will be working on the improvements of our products and architectures in collaboration with development centers in Europe, North America and Asia.

DevOps Operations Engineer

Varian Medical Systems Inc. is the world's largest manufacturer of medical devices and software for treating

cancer and other medical conditions with radiotherapy, radiosurgery, proton therapy and brachytherapy and employs more than 6'5 00 people.

To expand our team in Baden, we are looking for a

designs and develops the state-of-art radiation therapy treatment planning products such as Eclipse and

employs over 120 people.

DevOps Operations Engineer

We are seeking a high-performing, knowledge-seeking DevOps Operations Engineer to help in the fight against Cancer. This is an exciting position supporting some of our new and emerging initiatives. The right candidate will be motivated by both the technical and clinical challenges of working in a medical device company dedicated to providing timely clinical solutions for cancer patients. As a member of our global DevOps team, you will be working on the improvements of our products and architectures in collaboration with development centers in Europe, North America and Asia.

Core Responsibilities

 

  • Help lead towards buildup of a state-of-the-arts DevOps technology stack
  • Collaborate with Software Architects, Application Teams and Production Operation teams to ensure optimal software delivery, application performance, scalability to build highly resilient systems
  • Improve and strengthen our strategy in setting-up, managing and configuring our environments needed in R&D activities.
  • Implement your knowledge of modern DevOps methodology and tooling into our production release pipeline
  • Support the CI/CD pipeline to a wide variety of virtual environments
  • Support and maintain Continuous Integration Processes, Deployment Scripts, Server Spin-Up/Terminate Scripts and Scripts for basic server operations (Visual Studio, Powershell, Python, bash, java)
  • Build knowledge of software application builds and deployments (TeamBuild, TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Build knowledge of software configuration management systems and source code version control systems (TFS,

Git for TFS)

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Master or Bachelor in software engineering, computer science or equivalent academic degree
  • Solid understanding of Micro services Architecture
  • Sound knowledge of modern DevOps methodology and tooling
  • Fluency in English language both in written and verbal
