Global Product Strategy provides strategic business direction from research through to development, commercialization and medical excellence, collaborating with functions and affiliates to shape the future of medicine.
The International Business Leader is the global commercial expert on a brand, responsible for leading the organization to make the best possible commercial decisions that maximize both patient benefit and commercial value.
Developing the Annual Brand Plan and overseeing Global Launch Readiness Plans
Driving the global commercial strategy and business plan for in-line and future indications
Ensuring appropriate and qualified resource on the International Business Team (IBT) to deliver against the IBT goals
Cross functional partnerships and close collaboration across other key functions
Acting as a standing LCT member and providing commercial input into Lifecycle management activities, e.g. commercial assessments of strategic decisions regarding new indications/formulations
Ensuring IBT Brand performance by monitoring, benchmarking, and challenging IBT /Top 8 countries in partnership with Regional Franchise Leaders (RFLs)
Aligning IBT affiliates’ Annual Brand Plans with the Global ABP, especially the core strategic elements, and resolves misalignments or escalates as appropriate
Securing the success of the APHINITY launch – representing the single biggest growth indication in oncology
Management and development of Global Brand Team
Developing and managing the global marketing budget
Who you are

A marketing or science university degree is required ideally combined with an MBA
8 or more years’ multidisciplinary experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry
Sales & Marketing leadership experience including full P & L responsibility
HER2+ disease area experience is key
Operational commercial expertise: Significant commercial experience, preferably in both global and local roles with extensive launch experience and demonstrated success
Experience of driving innovative access approaches that made significant impact on availability of medicines for patients
Strong leadership track record; extensive people management experience and talent development within a senior level of the organization
Experience & strong awareness of working within a global environment (including IBTs and LCTs)
Preferably experience of managing projects through governance processes such as BRC, LSPC
Demonstrated success in understanding complex scientific issues and then effectively translating them into business success
