Site Manufacturing Architect
Drawing on a wide range of professional experience, this position provides enterprise level support for the company servers and communications infrastructure. Taking ownership of and contributing to the development of enterprise technology strategies and plans. This role is responsible for contributing to the definition and maintenance of a functional, reliable, and cost effective technology environment for the areas assigned.
The individual in this role is expected to work independently on projects and problems of complex scope and may coordinate the activities of others as needed.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Drive the design, build and support of global standard infrastructure technologies/platforms into the local manufacturing/engineering automation environments
Provide escalation support for complex infrastructure issues within the local site’s manufacturing/engineering automation environments
Support the Global BT Infrastructure & Operations group to migrate or replace existing legacy/non-standard system architectures
Develop/support designs for secure integration of computerised systems into the local site’s manufacturing/engineering automation networks
Develop/support solutions to increase security maturity and reduce cyber risk within the local site’s manufacturing/engineering automation networks, aligned to the global Infrastructure and Security strategies
Support the maintaining of integrity, availability, backup and security of manufacturing/engineering automation data
Support formal quality processes, following CSL’s BT Quality Management System (change management, documentation, qualification/validation etc.), for BT Infrastructure systems/platforms supporting GxP or non GxP systems and processes within the manufacturing/engineering automation environments to ensure Quality/Compliance KPIs are met
Support internal/external audits focused on BT Infrastructure systems/platforms within the local site’s manufacturing/engineering automation environments
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; educational concentration in a computer-based discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems) or a technical discipline (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics) is preferred. Master’s degree or post graduate coursework is preferred.
8+ years of related experience working with integrated enterprise systems is required.
Strong understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems including, but not limited to, the following components:
User/Group management, permissionning and policies
Operating system security risks, vulnerabilities and mitigation methodologies
Software and Operating System upgrade and patching processes
Customization and performance tuning
Active Directory services and architecture
Strong understanding of Networking and Security methodologies and components: e.g. TCP/IP, switch management, firewalls, IDP/IPS, VLANS, DHCP, routing etc.
Strong understanding of server Virtualization systems: e.g. Vmware vSphere
English fluent, German would be an asset
Strong understanding of GxP Quality requirements and processes for IT and Automation systems
Pharmaceutical/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience is preferred
Troubleshooting skills combined with the ability to propose, and implement sustainable solutions
