What does the role involve?
As a strategic sourcing manager for Power Tools & Accessories business unit you define, implement and lead our global strategy for specific power tool segments and develop the optimal global supplier portfolio. You manage sourcing activities for international product development projects. You identify and select new suppliers, manage and optimize current supply base. Your task is to develop and apply advanced negotiation strategies and finalize supplier contracts. You will consult the organization in procurement strategy, processes and realization of concepts. You identify and realize cost reduction potential and support the sourcing community with consultancy. Finally, you will work with a cross functional team providing added value solutions to all stakeholders.
What you need is:
University degree in a technical or business field with technical background (e.g. Industrial Engineering)
Several years of progressive procurement experience in technical environment or in consulting
Proven experience in applying advanced sourcing models and supplier management programs
Ability to deliver high-level of influence, presence and impact across senior management
Excellent communication skills in English, German would be an advantage; intercultural competence
