Strategic Marketing Leader (m/f)

The Product Line Marketing Manager demonstrates accountability for the marketing of the steam product offering to drive product line share gains and profitability. In this role you will be involved in long-term product planning, and contribute to the overall product strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

Understand the product marketplace; know the competition and the product strengths and weaknesses to help define the multi- generational product plan (MGPP)

  • Collaborate with Steam Product Line and Sales teams to determine strategic national/regional or client specific objectives
  • Continually evaluate the timely adjustment of marketing strategies and plans to respond to changing markets and competitive conditions

Create customer value proposition with supporting case studies, as appropriate

  • Bridge Sales, Marketing and Steam Product Line teams to drive a consistent and compelling product message to market in order to effectively promote and facilitate sales
  • Develop actionable customer segments and plant missions
  • Coordinate the Voice of Customer (VOC) program and analyze data to deliver actionable insights

Develop product offerings

  • Build the business cases: Generate cost estimates & development strategies to support MGPP & New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Track ongoing needs for Product improvement for consideration in the Growth Playbook/MGPP and S2 NPI budget so as to remain competitive and ensure continued product life
  • Develop marketing plans & strategies including symposium/board involvement

Support Commercial Operations and Sales team

  • Directly support sales collateral on key accounts and large orders (e.g., presentations, in-person meetings with customers, sales collateral copy/strategy)

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Significant experience in Product Line or Marketing
  • Steam Product Line/Industrial Marketing Expertise
  • Structured problem solving and communication skills

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Marketing
  • Digital(IoT) knowledge
  • Knowledge of customer interface and negotiations
  • Strong selling / account management skills
  • Proven ability to achieve sales and customer satisfaction objectives
  • Business Development skills and an entrepreneurial spirit
