Occupational Health Manager EAME
To establish the health performance of the region based on compliance with the health aspects of the HSE Management System, and to develop interventions to address the gaps.
To provide technical support and advice to the Territory HSE managers enabling them to implement initiatives to address any gaps with the health aspects of the HS E Management System
To support functions in the region to identify and understand their health risks, and to enable them to put in place controls to mitigate those risks
To build Health Risk Management capability in the region.
As a member of the Health CoE actively support the development of Health Strategy, direction, and solutions development.
To actively participate in the OH Center of Expertise as a full member to develop define and create strategies and solutions.
To define Occupational Health programs and support the Territory HSE teams to deliver them in order to improve Health conditions
Support & coach HSE Territory teams & regional functional teams enabling them to provide education and training and deliver regional OH programs to comply with the Syngenta OH management system
To work with the sites, countries and territories to identify, prioritize and manage health risks
To work with sites, countries and territories to ensure consideration of health risks at the appropriate stage of the management of change process and/or design of new projects.
To give direction and advice in health promotion in order enable sites, countries and territories to implement wellbeing programs.
To create a network of OH professionals in the region to enhance health capability in the region.
To provide health expertise into HSE functional activity, including HSE MS audit programs; 3rd Party audits; Incident investigation
Knowledge, skills and experience
Minimum of 5 year experience in OH with knowledge of health issues in a Chemical related industry and other health hazards related to Syngenta's activities: the solutions which can be applied to control the health risks.
Technical, natural sciences or medical degree (Bachelor). Professional qualification and accreditation in Occupational Hygiene from a recognized professional body (e.g. Cert / Dip. Occ. Hygiene in the UK, MAS Hygiene in Switzerland)
