Pilot Plant Assistant - Technology Finished Product Processing (TFPP)
As a pilot plant assistant you will manage the day-to-day operations of the formulation pilot plant and will represent the pilot plant manager during absences. You will plan, prepare and manage the development trials and productions and you will support the technician team. Furthermore, you will define and implement process, equipment and infrastructure change projects within the pilot plant.
Work closely with the technicians, the development teams, logistic and supply chain to manage the pilot plant planning and deliver the development trials and productions
Drive efficiency improvements to increase the capacity of the pilot plant and manage the cleaning, maintenance and inspection programs
Set high standards and expectations for safe working and carry out Product Risk Assessments for development activities
Ensure that Technicians are fully trained and that all systems and procedures in the pilot plant are fully described and documented as well as full compliance with these systems and procedures is maintained
Knowledge & Experience
Syngenta is seeking a Chemical Engineer, with a real drive for excellence in product development and production, to join our Technology Finished Product Processing team (TFPP) based in northwestern Switzerland. For this role we require:
A diploma or a bachelor degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering with at least 2 years successful track record in a pilot plant or manufacturing environment
Alternatively, related work experiences and/or further education in a pilot plant or manufacturing environment with at least five years of work experience
Ability to apply engineering knowledge to solve technical problems within a manufacturing environment
Strong team-worker, with excellent communication and influencing skills and the capacity to work independently when a situation demands it
