To join our team based in Wallisellen and to reinforce our Services organisation, we are looking for a:
NI Systems Engineer
Configure, install, test the assigned infrastructure at the client site, install and configure software according to client requirements
Provide Networking support to clients which includes provisioning, asset management, monitoring, implementation, troubleshooting and support for Networking operations and related infrastructure
Identify problems and errors prior to or when they occur and log all such incidents with the required level of detail
Full ownership for managing the incident to resolution within the service level conditions.
Perform level 2 to 3 server and network troubleshooting, server rack mounting and cable patching / management
Telephonic support to clients when required and update the relevant systems as per Dimension Data procedures
Produce breach and other reports to identify failures and short-comings
Degree in Computer Science or related field
Ideally 5-8 years of experience in a System Integrator in Networking, Wireless, Network Optimisation, Application Delivery, Network Infrastructure and Security
Required Competencies (certifications wished) in following technologies in Cisco CCNP (a minima), LAN/WAN (Cisco), Wireless (Cisco, Meraki or Aruba), Network Optimisation (Cisco or Riverbed RCSA or RCSP)
Additional technological assets offer a competitive advantage: Network and Applications performance/visibility (Riverbed or Cisco), Application Delivery (Cisco, F5 LTM Advanced) and if possible Security technologies, SDN (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX), security applications (e.g. Cisco, F5, etc.)
Knowledge of network virtualization and switching and routing technologies
Knowledge of availability and high availability protocols, VOIP components and converged networks
General knowledge of networking, IT systems, security, servers and firewalls
Service oriented and customer satisfaction focussed
Have a proactive approach to solving problems and be hands-on
Ability to cope in a challenging environment, to adapt to change and to think innovatively
Demonstrate the ability to work within a support team, contributing to their success
Demonstrate strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Full professional proficiency in German and English (French is a plus)
