Development Lead Credit Risk IT

Your role :

Are you passionate about bringing systems to life? Do you have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate? We're looking for someone like that to help us:

  • hands on development team lead with experience of running a global development team
  • design high quality components for the Credit Risk platform that conform to architectural standards
  • act as a technical lead for your components ensuring the requirements are implemented along the design on time and budget
  • work closely with Project Managers and Business Analysts to understand the requirements, work out the design by breaking it down into manageable components
  • providing technical leadership and coach the developers
  • work closely and effectively with other IT teams across the Bank
  • actively supporting the line manager as his/her deputy
Your team :

You'll be working in the Credit Risk IT team in Zürich. We are responsible for applications to manage our credit risk and are supplying services in the area of deciding, monitoring, calculating and reporting of risk across the UBS Group to make UBS compliant to regulations such as BCBS 239, CCAR and IFRS9.

Your experience and skills :

You have:
  • good skills in designing software and documenting the design in an understandable way
  • great fun leading and coaching a global development team, taking over the full end-to-end responsibility for components
  • strong knowledge in the areas of Java/JavaEE is mandatory, knowledge in J2EE (especially Webservices) is of advantage
  • strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL/PL-SQL programming in Oracle
  • strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
  • experience as a line manager for people, since you will be acting as the deputy for the line manager of a team with more than 50 developers
You are:
  • a strong team player with winning personality and ability to work across different areas and engage key stakeholders
  • experience in the finance sector, knowledge of Wealth Management business and Risk Models, to be able to understand and challenge the requirements
  • able to work on multiple projects and manage workload according to project priorities
  • result oriented and able to produce high quality under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • imaginative and creative with emerging technologies and an ambassador for test- and behavior-driven development
  • fluent in English
