Quality Engineer / Radiation Therapist

For the past 65 years we have been the world’s most influential company in fighting cancer by treating with radiation. Continuing with this tradition, we are currently developing a new software system that will take cancer care to the next level.

Embedded in a cross functional development team with product owners, usability engineers and software engineers you work on improving our radiotherapy products by participating in verification activities and clinical cooperation's in our challenging and inspiring global projects.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the verification activities during the development of the assigned product according to the Varian process:
    • Contribute to all verification planning activities like documentation of test strategies and plans or test environment and equipment.
    • Closely cooperate with development engineers on testing activities during development to achieve high quality software
    • Execute the defined test cases, report issues and follow up with different engineering parties as needed. For the testing you will make use of the linear accelerators in our in-house test cells and the different radiation oncology software packages.
  • Closely cooperate with product management and usability on design input
  • Assist the development teams with troubleshooting and problem analysis
  • Help to enhance test processes and establish new test concepts.
  • Support and collaborate with other teams across sites in Europe, North America and Asia

Requirements

  • Radiation Therapist or Radiation Physicist
  • 2 - 3 years professional experiences in Radiation Oncology
  • Professional experiences in software testing
  • Clinical experience with products from Varian is a plus
  • Excellent social and communication skills
  • High level of motivation and commitment
