Heptagon’s research and development teams are located in Zurich, Switzerland, working in tight cooperation with ams teams located in Graz, Austria; development and manufacturing are in Singapore and Shenzhen, China; and business development and sales offices are located in Santa Clara, CA.

Imaging Characterization Engineer (m/f)


  • Design characterization setup (hardware and software) for automated data acquisition and instrument control that enable fast and thorough characterization
  • Develop novel and unique characterization systems for optoelectronic modules.
  • Perform detailed characterization of time-of-flight sensors and camera modules.
  • Collecting and analyzing measurement data including mass production test data.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation of device performance, characterization results, systems and methodologies.
  • Play a key role in defining enhancements for next-generation characterization products.



Candidates must have more than 3 years ofhands-on experience on testing / characterization with strong software background.

  • Strong programming and data analysis skills with ability to prototype hardware/software systems.
  • Experience in lab control, instrumentation and automatization.
  • Strong knowledge of MATLAB, python (C, Labview is a plus).
  • Database programming SQL.
  • Experience on characterization of optoelectronic devices.
  • Knowledge statistical analysis tools (JMP) is a plus.
  • Experience with motor control is a plus.
  • Innovative attitude and self-motivate.
