Senior Field Application Engineer

As part of our Field Application Engineering Team the position holder will ensure that the highest level of customer support is provided to customers at all times with a focus on a minimal design-in time and optimum customer satisfaction whilst keeping in line with the company business targets.
Responsibilities include supporting the sales process advising customers during the evaluation phase, assisting them throughout the design-in process and application development and performing design reviews and analysis of customer applications.
 
Tasks:

  • Pre-sales assistance
  • Design-in Support
  • After-sales support
  • Customer design analysis
  • Manage the analysis of Returned Material and feed back to sales and R&D for corrective action
  • Provide technical market feedback to R&D and Product Management
  • Organize technical trainings and workshops

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience at design and application level in at least two of the fields listed below:
    • Hardware Engineering and/or Software Engineering for Embedded Platforms
    • Positioning technology (GNSS, GPS)
    • Cellular technology
    • Short-range radio technology (Bluetooth, WiFi)
    • Radio Frequency Systems
  • Outstanding analytical skills and ability to quickly understand the system architecture of customer's application,
  • Experience in customer support functions, ability to handle difficult situations with diligence
  • Proficient in English and French is a must, other languages are an asset
  • Willingness and readiness to travel abroad (10-20% on a not regular basis)
  • Swiss or EU/EFTA citizen or holder of a valid Swiss work permit
