Events IT Deputy Group Leader

Your Duties
As Deputy Group Leader:
Assisting the Events IT Group Leader in leading the area of Events IT, covering project management, IT service delivery and IT support
Coordinating Events IT staff and providing administrative supervision
Documenting FIFA ICT's IT strategy and roadmap for tournaments and events, ensuring their continuous alignment with business requirements
Managing the implementation of FIFA's ICT strategy for FIFA Tournaments and Events
Documenting and implementing the Events IT project management methodology, in line with the organization's standards and regulations, and ICT's methodology and practices
Overseeing the provisioning of effective IT support services for Tournaments and Events
As Project Manager for several Tournaments and Events:
Planning, scheduling and controlling project scope, activities and tasks
Directing and managing the effective and efficient provision of IT services
Developing and controlling project budget
Identifying deliverables and milestones
Managing, monitoring and reporting on project risks
Ensuring adequate stakeholder management, including but not limited to stakeholder identification, influencing, engagement
Planning, managing and coordinating internal resources and 3rd party suppliers to ensure expected service delivery and program deliverables are met
Our Requirements
University degree or comparable higher education in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field
At least 15 years' overall IT experience and a minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in IT networks and infrastructure delivery and IT programme/project management, preferably in sports event management
Proven track record of successful delivery of complex ICT programmes and projects
A minimum of 5 years' experience in leading multi-cultural teams of significant size (+20 resources)
Professional certifications in project management (PMP, Prince2, etc.)
Excellent collaboration skills and demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams, managing conflicts and driving consensus to deliver on project/program milestones
Ability to handle delicate customer relationships, manage perceptions and expectations fluently
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
Full professional proficiency in English and at least another FIFA language, i.e. French, Spanish or German (the latter being a strong asset)
Willing to travel globally (50%), with some trips with a long duration (30 days or more)
