Medicinal Chemist (Oncology)
The Medicinal Chemistry team, located in Basel, designs and invents small molecules aimed to become differentiated medicines for treating diseases of high unmet medical need. As a Scientist in Medicinal Chemistry you will be accountable for executing chemistry strategies in the project team and providing scientific input to ongoing and newly established drug discovery programs to deliver high quality candidates to our pipeline. In this position you will:
Be part of a chemistry team involved in all key aspects in drug discovery iteratively designing safe and efficacious novel molecules for innovative biological targets
Conduct laboratory research demonstrating excellence in synthetic and medicinal chemistry allowing rapid and efficient structure activity and structure property relationships knowledge generation via multi-dimensional optimization
Be able and encouraged to contribute significantly to the progression of drug discovery projects
