AirFox is a small startup based in Boston founded by two ex-Googlers to empower prepaid carriers for more dynamic data plans and to bring affordable Internet to developing countries. With remote teams in Boston, Brazil and Romania we're looking to tap into Switzerland's talent pool to strengthen our engineering team.
Peer-to-peer micro-loans based on the Ethereum blockchain platform.
Android ROM integrations with device manufacturers to deploy apps that can upgrade without user interaction OTA (over-the-air).
Zero rating of apps using our patented socks5 based protocol to route TCP and UDP over TCP through our backend infrastructure.
Code injection for the (open-source) Chrome browser to add custom code to an already built browser app.
We want you
AirFox is looking for engineers that can solve problems, hard problems. As a startup, we’re fast, opportunistic and innovative. As an employee of AirFox you need to be able to adapt quickly, to pivot (sometimes in mid-sprint) and be open to changes on a daily basis. If you're looking for a well-established development process with predictable deliverables and deadlines, look elsewhere. What you get with AirFox is a lot of freedom, the ability to shape your own future and to be part of the best team ever!
Client-side we’re focused on Android (Java, Kotlin and C), web client (dashboard) based on Angular, backend with PHP, nodejs, Java and some Python, database MySql, Postgres and MongoDB, data pipeline with AWS S3/Firehose/Redshift.
If you’re based in Switzerland (work permit, citizenship not required), proficient in English, have some of the technical skills above and want to be part of a team that strives to do the impossible, then get in touch with our CTO James Seibel: email@example.com or our Lead Software Architect Emanuel Moecklin: firstname.lastname@example.org.
