The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG is a joint venture company established with the purpose of planning, developing and building the TAP natural gas pipeline. TAP`s shareholding is comprised of BP (20%), SNAM (20%), SOCAR (20%), Fluxys (19%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).
For TAP`s head office in Switzerland we are looking to engage a Chief Financial Officer. This role will develop and implement the Company’s mandate on behalf of the shareholders working closely with and under the direction of the Managing Director. Essentially this translates into further developing strong finance controlling functions and governance processes, including the review of the capital investment spend, risk management and financial performance of the legal entity TAP AG, including the branch offices in Albania, Greece and Italy. The CFO is accountable for the funding of the company which includes the supervision of the Project Financing Process. Further, the CFO is also accountable for the placement and management of all necessary insurances for the project as well as for TAP AG incl.uding the country offices.
Chief Financial Officer
Accountable for TAP’s finance strategy and the relationship with TAP Board and Board subcommittees on financial issues.
Further develop the TAP AG financial controlling function, with proper planning, reporting, treasury, risk management and project financing to the best practice standards expected by the shareholders.
Accountable for TAP’s accounts and analysis of TAP-AG performance through the different project phases. This includes efficiently reporting the projects advancements, identifying risks, opportunities, and contingency plans, and communicating results to both the senior management team and the Board and external stakeholders.
Accountable for the timely release of financial reports to Shareholders and Lenders and the timely release of public documents (where necessary), filings and reports of a financial nature to the Executive Team, Board of Directors and Shareholders.
Accountable for TAP’s tax strategy, obtaining a robust tax legal framework and supervise implementation, tax handling and tax compliance.
Actively participate in the business and strategic planning process with the Managing Director and Leadership Team. Provide a technical knowledge, business decision support, counsel, and financial analysis that will ensure that strategic objectives are attained.
Lead the annual financial planning process for the company. This includes understanding ensuring that the financial plan is linked to the TAP-AG’s agreed strategy, and effectively communicating the financial aspects of the plan to both the Leadership team and the Board/Shareholders.
Oversee TAP’s project financing activities, ensuring effective interfaces are maintained between the parties responsible.
Accountable for the timely placement and renewal of all necessary insurances for the project as well as for TAP AG and all country offices and set-up of an effective claim management process.
Further recruit and lead a highly effective financial team that delivers value to the organization with expert financial and economic analysis, management of highly effective business planning, and internal control processes.
Promote visible HSSE Leadership across the TAP Finance organisation and in support of HSSE activities across TAP
University Bachelor or Master degree in International Economics or Finance or other related fields.
Certified Accountant with knowledge of IFRS and accounting under IFRS.
At least 15 years of experience in an international operating company (preferred in a project organization in the oil and gas industry).
Extensive experience in development of finance organizations, budgeting and forecasting, cash management cost controlling, in an oil and gas project.
10 years of experience in management of up to 10 subordinates in a multicultural environment.
Strong understanding of Cost accounting.
Experience in intercompany transactions, tax accounting and tax reports including VAT.
Experience of payment processes and banking interfaces.
Experience of implementation or maintenance of accounting platforms.
Excellent Project Management skills.
Ability to work under pressure, with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and manage interfaces with contractors.
Good interpersonal skills within a matrix organisation.
Excellent computer skills and experience in using SAP Module FI/CO and other accounting platforms, as well as strong knowledge in Excel and Database-Management.
Excellent English language skills and any additional language skills deemed a plus.
Strong analytical, logical and systematic thinking, quality thinking and excellent organizational skills.
Good communicational and leadership skills.
