Function/Position

Trading System Architect/Engineer (Ref. A1199)

Location

Zurich, CH; Basel, CH

Function/Position objectives

Develop and Implement new solutions in conjunction with the user within our execution trading and order routing systems Front Arena, Omni and Avaloq.

This position includes project management and frequent travelling between Basel / Zurich.

Responsibilities

  • Define new processes and workflow starting from entry point implement them within our order routing and trading system (Front Arena AMS) and ensure proper booking in the operational systems.
  • Optimize and overhaul existing workflows, implement enhancements.
  • Testing of new functionalities and introduce them to the user.
  • Maintenance and third level support, documentation.
  • Business analysis for new features in the trading system.
  • Education: University degree (IT, natural sciences).
  • Previous work experience in IT is a must, in the area Trading or Back Office is a plus.
  • Strong analytical thinking and solution-oriented working style.
  • Knowledge in one of the following applications a must: Front Arena AMS/OMNI or AVALOQ (Trading, Operation, Settlement)  a big plus: Bloomberg (EMSX, TSOX, MAP, BloombergNet), Reuters, Fidessa.
  • Experience in execution trading projects - preferably (but not necessarily) in one of those: FIX protocol (definition and configuration), Front Arena software suite (focus exchange).
  • Financial know-how is a big plus: Trading and Operation.
  • Teamwork - working in a flexible and dynamic development team with a broad scope of activities.
