We are looking for an energetic, internationally minded Education Advisor to help expand our global student recruitment activities.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Marketing or School Director or to the Presisdent of B.H.M.S., the Education Advisor is responsible for developing student recruitment opportunities and achieving ambitious enrolment targets within an assigned international territory (primarily Asia or other designated regions).
This is a highly relationship-driven consultative sales role requiring a proactive individual who enjoys building partnerships, advising prospective students, and representing B.H.M.S. internationally.
The successful candidate will spend up to 100 working days per year travelling within the assigned territory, visiting educational partners, schools, agents, exhibitions and prospective students. The remainder of the year will be based at our Lucerne or Zürich campus, where the advisor will manage enquiries, convert leads, analyse market opportunities, prepare future recruitment activities and collaborate closely with colleagues across marketing, admissions and academic operations and ensures his recruited students wellbeing
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed annual student recruitment and revenue targets within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute territory recruitment plans aligned with institutional growth objectives.
- Identify, develop and maintain relationships with education agents, schools, universities and other strategic partners.
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship building.
- Manage a sales pipeline with a typical recruitment cycle of three to six months.
- Guide prospective students throughout the complete admissions process, from first enquiry through application, Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and enrolment.
- Deliver professional presentations, seminars and information sessions to students, parents, schools and recruitment partners.
- Represent B.H.M.S. at international education fairs, exhibitions and promotional events.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all activities using the B.H.M.S. CRM system.
- Prepare sales reports, market intelligence and recruitment forecasts.
- Monitor market developments, competitor activities and industry trends within the assigned region.
- Work closely with Marketing, Admissions, Academic Operations and Student Services to ensure an outstanding applicant experience.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve recruitment effectiveness and market penetration.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in international education recruitment, educational sales or hospitality-related business development.
- Fluency in German and English
- Proven record of consistently achieving or exceeding recruitment and sales targets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new markets and build long-term business relationships.
- Experience managing multiple recruitment opportunities simultaneously throughout a consultative sales cycle.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities with a high degree of self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within an international team.
- Comfortable working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel internationally for up to 100 working days per year.
- Experience within higher education or international student recruitment is highly desirable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
