The AO Foundation is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by 13 visionary surgeons, AO fosters one of the most extensive networks of currently more than 19,000 surgeons, operating room personnel, and scientists in over 100 countries.

AO Clinical Investigation & Documentation (AOCID) is an institute of the AO Foundation with the mission to be a leading research organization providing evidence-based knowledge through independently conducted clinical studies, education, and methodological services, in order to facilitate clinical decision making in the field of trauma or musculoskeletal disorders. AOCID supports clinical research in more than 300 clinics worldwide for the AO Clinical Divisions and the AO Technical Commission.

We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our team in Dübendorf, Switzerland, as:

(Senior) Clinical Research Associate

In this role you will be required to

Manage clinical studies within the framework of scientific and legal guidelines in collaboration with the Project Manager
Conduct site initiation visits, monitoring visits and site close-out visits of the involved clinics (on-site and remote)
Assures adherence to GCP, investigator integrity and compliance with all study procedures through monitoring
Prepare and develop documents for public authorities and/or ethics commission submissions
Develop and adapt Case Report Forms (CRFs)
Control quality and validation of clinical data
Update Project Mangers regarding the documentation quality of the clinics
Maintain contact with Principal Investigators and Study Coordinators
Prepare and develop Study Newsletters / Annual Report and assist in generating Final Study Reports
Assist in optimizing quality standards and SOPs

In order to master this challenge you have

A bachelor's degree in Natural Science, or a higher nursing degree
At least 2-3 year's practical experience in a similar role
An understanding of medical terminology, methodological aspects of clinical monitoring
Experience with data capture in the field of clinical research
Strong written and oral communication skills in German and English
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Flexibility and a customer-focused mindset
Knowledge of the applicable requirements (ICH-GCP, ISO14155, etc.)
A willingness to travel internationally up to 30%
