Senior Electronic Hardware Developer

In this position you will join a multidisciplinary R&D team developing the next generation of instruments. You will bring electronic expertise to the R&D team. You will notably contribute actively to the design of new devices and progressively introduce digital controllers and communication capacities to the existing product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with the Group’s internal electronic design resources and manufacturing capacities.

Main responsibilities

  • Development of the electronic architecture and concepts of instruments and product lines in coordination with all stakeholders
  • Creation of electronics overview plans (block diagram, etc.)
  • Design of electrical circuits and drawing of the corresponding circuit diagrams (circuit design) in coordination with the relevant departments and taking into account the internal existing electronic manufacturing constraints (DFM)
  • Development of an end-of-line test concept for printed circuit boards in coordination with the Group’s electronic manufacturing department
  • Approval of the printed circuit board design
  • Verification of electrical circuits and electrical modules
  • Performing and supporting all relevant tasks during the product transition towards production
  • Support to the product manager during the entire product life cycle
  • Incorporation of new electronic technologies in the hardware development in coordination with other departments such as mechanical design, firmware, software, CE-safety, E-CAD, production, purchasing, project leader, product manager, etc.

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in electronics or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electrical engineering ideally in the field of measurement technology or metrology
  • Experience in design and verification of electronic circuits
  • Experience with electronic system or circuit design software such as Zuken
  • Knowledge of safety and EMC directives required for declaration of conformity
  • Basic knowledge of physical and materials sciences
  • Hands-on mentality and experience with laboratory and workshop activities
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Analytical, accurate and result-oriented work approach
  • French and English as working languages, German an asset
