As Senior Savoury Flavourist you will lead flavour and integrated solutions development projects and contribute to tactical planning. You will also guide functional benefits growth according to organisational goals and Environment, Health and Safety policies. You will be based in the Innovation Center in Kemptthal and reporting directly to the Innovation Director Savoury.

- Challenge yourself and others
Form new flavor creations or modify existing flavors to meet project requirements, internal testing needs, or new technology development at an expert level for selected flavor types. Accomplish daily tasks and manage assigned projects and provide flavours which meet all defined project needs. Lead customer visits for flavour creation and product presentations at the customer. Establish relationships with a broad number of internal partners; able to gain their trust and respect. Be a technical expert to resolve flavor production issues and customer complaints and complete ownership of created flavors. Mentor flavor assistants and other flavorists.
- Improve efficiency
Be a technical expert and advisor to all partners and customers for ingredient and flavor performance at an expert level for selected flavor types. Build complex programs and provide technical leadership within their area or group, determine project success criteria in collaboration with team members to create creative flavours.
- Manage through Operational Excellence
Coordinate the evaluation of materials developed internally or from external sources and assess potential for flavor creation. Coordinate the participation of other technical functions to learn about all departments (analytical chemistry, sensory, consumer understanding, regulatory, flavor delivery, manufacturing) Maintain a safe, clean and organized lab environment following EH&S policies. Manage assigned projects and provide flavors which meet all defined project needs, leading customer visits for flavor creation and product presentations at the customer.

- Polytechnic or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Biology and any experience in a food applications lab, production or related areas
- 7or more years experience as a Flavourist after completion of Givaudan Flavourist Training programme or accepted industry equivalent
- Business Fluent in English; any additional language is an advantage
- Flavour Creation experience in more than one country/region and across multiple flavour segments
- Expert level knowledge of analytical methodologies (G.C. HPLC, Mass Spec.)
- Expert level knowledge of raw materials and flavour ingredients with an expert level ability to create many flavour types
