In this position you will be part of our Actuarial and Insurance Risk Services team and will be responsible for driving the expansion of our risk consulting services in Switzerland, delivering advisory engagements and building KPMG's relationships with existing and target clients.
Senior Insurance Risk Consulting Manager
Providing key risk consulting services to our insurance clients including: Risk/Finance Transformation programme design and execution; Risk/Finance Target Operating Model design; Risk Framework development / review (including e.g. market risk, operational risk); Risk Appetite Framework development; Risk Management Information design; Control Efficiency/Effectiveness Assessment; Solvency II, Pillar 2 including the ORSA; Capital Management
Managing and assisting in the delivery of client engagements, with responsibility for client deliverables and day-to-day liaison with clients
Managing project teams or work streams within a project team directly at the client site
Providing technical input to a number of projects and providing review and challenge to deliverables produced by the team
Actively identifying and supporting business development opportunities, including driving sales activities such as proposal writing or pitching of products or services to prospective clients
Contribution to the development of new propositions and/or services and the refreshing of existing products and/or services
Cultivate and maintain client relationships at existing and target clients
Coaching and developing team members both as part of our overall Performance Management process or on specific engagements
Successful candidates will hold a relevant degree, and ideally have a professional qualification in risk management or actuarial services
5 – 10 years of experience in the insurance industry and ideally with management/finance/risk consulting experience. Expertise and experience in risk and/or finance is highly desirable
A broad knowledge of insurance products and strategies as well as knowledge of Swiss and international regulatory regimes for insurers
Strong external network in Switzerland is an advantage
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and an ability to explain Risk Management concepts with clarity to our clients
Fluency in English (written and oral) required, German a strong plus
Ability to set priorities in order to accomplish work in a multitasking environment and a sound track record in meeting tight deadlines
Experience in leading teams and projects
