Sr Finance Systems Analyst

The Senior Finance Systems Analyst will provide support to Finance users on SAP ECC and BPC. As a key member of the Global Finance

Systems Team, you will interface with Finance, Business Units, and IT. E ective communication and collaboration skills as well as previous

experience with business processes and systems, especially in the areas of Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting, are critical to

succeeding in this role. Your day to day responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, IT technical resources, and other business partners on a daily basis

• Provide user support for BPC Consolidations and Planning models

• Participate in systems implementation projects (requirements documentation, systems confi guration,

test documentation/execution, issue identifi cation and resolution)

• Drive projects to automate processes done outside the ERP system such as Varian’s purchasing eRequisition solution

• Assist in project management and administration of new Record to Report solutions

• Defi ne requirements for, and design and develop management reports as necessary

• Develop training documents, provide end-user training, ensure e ective user adoption of applications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Information Technology

• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in fi nance with focus in accounting and fi nancial planning

• Experience with Financial Systems as a power user or administrator

• Experience with SAP ECC and BPC planning and consolidations preferred

• Strong understanding of accounting and fi nancial and management reporting

• Very good analytical and technical skills as well as a good perception of user needs and business processes.

• High profi ciency with Microsoft software applications including O  ce and SharePoint

• Ability to work e ectively with a wide variety of people in a cross-functional team environment using strong written

and oral communication skills

• Ability to work e  ciently and independently with minimal supervision (i.e. self-motivated and willing to stretch to meet

important deadlines)

• Strong project management skills and ability to e ectively juggle multiple projects at one time and meet project deadlines

• 5-10% travel required
