System Engineer (Process and Automation) – Gas turbine w/m

Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Create operation, control and protection concepts for Conversions, Modifications & Upgrades (CM&U) & development projects (NPI)
  • Where necessary prepare or support preparation of logic modules (including simulation tests) on control software platforms
  • Act as team member in NPI projects with innovative and cost efficient concepts and work out solutions based on Fast Works
  • Act as team member of the offer team (Application Engineering) and/or the project execution team (Requisition Engineering) for complex GT or CCPP CM&U projects being responsible for his own work packages (schedule, scope, budget)
  • Prioritize, plan and execute tasks when executing own work packages for multiple projects in parallel
  • Assume responsibility for process and safety engineering within the project team for CM&U and NPI projects


Your Profile:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in electrical/mechanical engineering/process engineering or equivalent with specialization in process automation, energy technology, thermodynamics or process instrumentation
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the Power Industry, ideally field services, process engineering or in a similar position
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering for at least one of the following systems: steam turbine or water steam cycle
  • Good knowledge in controls engineering and/or process technology
  • Experience in application of risk assessment methods (FMEA, HAZOP)
  • Analytical and problem solving skills; ability to assess situations make judgments based on practice or previous experience
  • Structured and independent work method
  • IT skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German
