Intellectual Property Paralegal
who will be based in Kilchberg, Switzerland and will report to the Head of Intellectual Property of the Lindt & Sprüngli Group.
This position will be supporting the Group Legal & IP team in all aspects with the global management and defense of Intellectual Property assets as well as on select projects. Some of the key responsibilities include:
Handling of Intellectual Property clearance searches
Support with the registration, prosecution and renewal processes of various IP rights (Trademarks, Domains, Designs, Patents, etc.)
Assisting with the efficient handling of IP litigation and conflict matters including oppositions, cancellations and online as well as offline infringement matters
Supporting of the department's efforts to ensure compliance with IP policies, procedures and standards
Assistance with the review of invoices and cost tracking
Support the review and approval of food labels and artworks
Preparation and updating of training manuals and presentations
Management and updating of IP database as well as physical files and archive with the highest level of diligence
Taking on the role of a Key User for the IP Asset Management database (Patrix Patricia)
Other general administrative support (processing of documents, mailing of letters, procuring signatures, etc.) as required to further enhance efficiencies
Support of the Group Legal & IP Team on various projects and tasks as assigned
This challenging position requires an enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated team player with sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize tasks. A paralegal certificate or equivalent education and min. 10 years of experience working in IP legal environment (both in-house and law firm experience preferred) as paralegal or IP specialist, is essential. You should have experience in managing global trademark portfolios and service thinking as well as client service shall be a personal strength. Your Attention to detail, good common sense, analytical thinking and your ability to resolve problems complete your profile. Excellent communications skills and fluency in English is a must, German and/or any other languages are an advantage. In addition, advanced computer skills in MS Office combined with experience with IP databases and search tools is required.
