In this position you will be an important link for developing new business opportunities for one
of the biggest companies in the world. Through the RFQ process, working in close liaison and
continuous collaboration across functions and countries, ensuring a team-based and consistent
approach to RFQ management, you will be responsible for calculating, analyzing and providing
data and material to the Sales and Marketing department and our customers for more than 120
countries in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
• Engage on opportunities early on in pre-bid phase and put a plan forward how to win
involving all stakeholders • Analyze and manage incoming tenders and work together with all stakeholders in
preparing, finalizing and delivering a timely and winning tender response • Engage with country teams, other Global Bid Teams overseas and products to ensure all
bid responses are checked & validated for accuracy, adherence to customer’s
requirements & competitiveness • Understand the complexity of customer’s requirements such as air and ocean
transportation, sector specific knowledge, IT customer solutions etc. • Evaluate country pricing to bid and benchmark against comparative bid data, so as to
optimize customer pricing effectiveness • Develop and maintain strong contacts with internal customers such as Commercial
Owners, Industry Sector Sales (Life Sciences and Healthcare, Chemicals, Automotive,
Energy, Engineering & Manufacturing, Technology, Consumer and/or Retail), Account-
and Product-Management • Keep up to date with products and all relevant market information and developments • Follow up on submitted bids with Commercial Owners/Account Managers to understand
and place on record the bid outcome and lesson learned
• Minimum 3 years Air and/or Ocean Freight experience, thorough understanding of the
logistics business • Degree in Freight Forwarding or equivalent professional diploma • Analytical skills and very advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel • Advanced Project Management Skills • Very good English skills, both written and spoken • Previous experience in competitive RFQ environment preferred
