Banking Operations Service Desk Specialist

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Provide an excellent, proactive and professional 1st Level support to Avaloq Sourcing clients, both for Banking Operations and Avaloq related issues/inquiries/general questions
  • Actively manage client relationship by communicating regularly and providing status updates on all outstanding issues managed by the Banking Operations Service Desk team
  • Autonomously process, investigate, analyse operational issues and provide prompt answers to the clients’ requests, guaranteeing a high resolution rate
  • Efficiently liaise with the business and technical 2nd Level Support areas, either providing them with the necessary information in order to achieve a swift resolution of the issues or coordinating involvement of other teams
  • Actively participate in clients’ training programmes and on-sites visits, as well as manage clients’ meetings if required
Knowledge, Skills and Education:
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the Back Office or Middle Office areas of medium or smaller-sized banks
  • Solid knowledge of the Banking Operations (especially Securities and Stock Exchange transactions)
  • University Degree in Finance or a similar educational background is desired
  • Practical knowledge of Avaloq Banking Suite is considered as a strong advantage
  • Analytical thinking and excellent problem solving capabilities  
  • Good team working and communication skills
  • Well-developed client orientation and ability to communicate at all corporate levels
  • Fluent English and German, while French and Italian are a plus
