Corporate Payroll Controller / International Environment (f/m)


Administrative Tasks:

  • Ensure high quality financial controlling and reporting for payroll related expenditure
  • Acts as the co-ordinator between the relevant Corporate Payroll Teams and the responsible SAP-Accounting Teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in operational effectiveness and cost efficiency
  • Coordinate and support of monthly actual closing and reporting, forecasting and mid-term planning process
  • Work closely with Finance and HR teams globally or related projects and other stakeholders for areas of relevance
  • Ensure compliance and managing actively internal control documentations with respect to payroll
  • Present reporting together with related analysis to the CFO, Head of HR and the Executive Committee on the topic of labor costs
  • Give input to improve relevant tools (e.g. SAP, Workday)
  • Support ad hoc projects
  • Supports the Payroll Team through provision of accounting expertise to ensure that the requirements of International Financial Reporting Standards and Accounting and Reporting Standards are followed
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Finance (Group Tax, Corporate Finance and Treasury, Reporting and Consolidation), Auditors, HR, Payroll Teams, Executive Committee, Function and Cost Center Heads


Profile Required:

  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, HR or similar
  • International Payroll experience
  • Around 10 years of relevant experience in international firm or multinational corporate environment
  • Majority of experience in areas of immediate relevance to the role, including Finance Controller and Global Payroll Manager
  • Proven track record of working successfully in or with a wide range of stakeholder at different levels and in different locations
  • Proven track record of working successfully in an international environment and in cross cultural teams
  • Excellent and well-rounded financial controller with payroll experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • MS-Office, Google, SAP (SAP FI/CO, SAP BW, SAP FC tool), Workday
  • Establish trust and confidence
  • Highest levels of ethics and integrity
  • Highly developed business and financial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure the right organisational outcomes and impact
  • High degree of self-responsibility, initiative and willingness to highly perform
  • Forward looking, self-motivated and outcomes-orientated, with experience in managing in dynamic, complex, challenging and or ambiguous environments
  • Fluent English, other languages (in particular German, Italien or French) advantageous.
  • Based in Zurich with regular trips in Europe
  • Proven ability to operate effectively (incl. influence and when needed diplomatically but firmly challenge stakeholders at all levels)
