Deputy Head Finance BP Hemophilia

Representation in Management: Represent Strategic Marketing
Finance in Financial topics and projects related to Hemophilia
towards interface functions within Bayer group, and in committees
with external partners.
Business partner to Head of Hemophilia as well as to all relevant
interfaces to regions and functions (financial steering of operational
and strategic business, related planning and forecasting
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for
actuals/budget/forecasts, negotiate contract issues, and coordinate
the finance consolidation topics across R&D, PS and marketing
Strategic Planning: Support strategic planning process for
Hemophilia: valuation and strategic option analysis, providing
financial advice and strategic recommendations on acquisition,
collaboration, divestitures and in-licensing deals and determine
potential financial return of such products
Support R&D budget discussion and resource allocations as well
as supporting impairment testing processes as the interface
between brand teams, Finance and BAG Controlling
Global Brand Team support and scenario planning for midto-long
term business development
Support in financial evaluation of strategic targets, strategic options
and provision of data to Strategic Planning
Support Kogenate Family Core Team (BCT), and Hemophilia
Therapeutic Area Leadership Team (TALT) in day to day financial
tracking and reporting.
Operational planning and forecasting: Steer financial performance
in view of mid- to long-term SBE and product P&Ls development
Provide strong financial expertise, advice and decision support to
Finance Leadership through financial steering and planning,
performance tracking, business analysis and performance
Steer planning and forecasting processes, support Hemophilia
Head in defining and follow-up of operational targets, challenge
stated expectations of major regions, countries and other
stakeholders. Provide ongoing financial council to head of
Hemophilia Marketing, insuring clear metrics are in place to
measure performance
Effective implementation and harmonization of global operational
planning and forecasting processes according to PH and BAG
standards within Hemophilia
Convert Strategic Marketing strategy into financial numbers and
elaborate respective budget and forecast presentation
Performance tracking and reporting: Driving financial and
operational performance of Hemophilia and initiating or challenging
corrective measures to achieve targets. Planning and forecasting
of Strategic Marketing including Hemophilia cost centers and FTEs.
Provide regular reporting and sound analysis to Hemophilia
Management, Strategic marketing Finance Head and PH
Performance Management on short-to-mid-term business
development, deviations to targets and budget, risks &
opportunities and initiate respective countermeasures, conducting
financial ad hoc analyses and comments on actual business
Partner with regions, Medical Affairs, Market Access (MACS)
Pricing & Advocacy, Marketing Operations (MO) and other
business areas in monitoring and evaluating key financial issues
and areas of financial exposure for Hemophilia brands.
Monitor Global actual financial performance against plan and KPIs,
and analyze regional sales and global cost & FTE variances.
Manage Hemophilia central and BCT budgets
Drive forward looking steering by early detection of global trends
and market developments and interpretation of potential impacts
on future business
Support global team with team members located abroad especially
with Must Win Markets (US, Germany Bayer Vital, Japan, China,
France, Brazil). Actively drive global cooperation and alignment
across regions/countries.
Provide trainings to brand teams to enable teams to implement
efficient tracking and documentation of value flows.
Lead audit efforts, internal and external.
Work within the frame of Corporate Policies and procedures as
directed by the Corporate Group
